Cantherm

The company was initially established and operated as Multi-State Devices Ltd., with the aim of designing and selling a unique type of NTC thermistor with avalanche characteristics, now known as Moxie. Lacking the resources needed for robust growth, the company was subsequently sold. Since being acquired by Microtherm GmbH in 1978, the entire Microtherm thermostat series has been adopted and promoted. After several years of selling Microtherm thermostats produced in Germany, CANTHERM is now able to produce a variety of fast-acting temperature-limiting bimetallic thermostats according to Microtherm designs, suitable for a wide range of applications. The equipment can be used for motor and transformer protection, medical equipment, temperature-sensitive electronic devices, power supplies, or anywhere heat may be generated.
