Panasonic Corporation is a global electronics manufacturer engaged in the production, sales, and other business activities of a wide range of electrical products. In 1978, Chinese national leaders visited our Japanese television factory. During the discussions, our founder Konosuke Matsushita expressed his determination to contribute to China. Following this, Panasonic Corporation entered the initial phase of its business in China. Over these years, the Group has consistently focused on product exports and technical cooperation with Chinese factories, establishing its first joint venture in 1987. To date, Panasonic's business activities in China encompass R&D, manufacturing, sales, services, logistics, and marketing across multiple sectors. Panasonic Electric China Co., Ltd., established in 1994, achieved full ownership in 2002 and primarily oversees the sales and after-sales service of home appliances, system solutions, environmental technologies, components, and medical equipment. As a regional investment company in China, Panasonic Electric China Co., Ltd. also assumes responsibility for centralized coordination and support functions including talent development, finance, legal affairs, environmental protection, and intellectual property management. In January 2012, Panasonic Electric China Co., Ltd. merged and absorbed Panasonic Electric China Co., Ltd., further expanding its operational scope.
